When you’ve already got two people in love, what could possibly make an engagement session better? Well, personally, I think red shoes and a cute puppy seal the deal! Meet Kristen & Patrick. They’re tying the knot later this summer and opted for an engagement session on a beautiful summer evening. We chose the UW Arboretum and Picnic Point, and boy did we luck out! On top of warm & sunny weather, we had a practically bug-free couple of hours. Their little yorkie, Brando, came along to sweeten the photos with his adorable little mug.
I think Kristen was a little skeptical of what she’d gotten herself into when the first spot I picked was a field alongside the road. I hope you like the way these turned out, Kristen!
I love them. Delicious light and that dark background… Love!
We took a little stroll down the road that leads to the Arboretum’s education building. Bikers didn’t mind us.
LOVED the red in the shoes and the leash together!
Kristen, I think you look glamorous in this shot.
Discovered this spot for the first time- gorgeous!
What a cutie, right?
Can I just say that I love Patrick’s laugh? He’s so animated and joyful!
We headed over to Picnic Point sans-GPS. This was remedied today- I cannot live without my GPS!! Once there, we did a lot more walking than I anticipated. Before heading into the park, we played in the grass a little bit!
Believe it or not, Wisconsin does have beaches. They’re just very tiny.
And waaaaaay in the distance…the Capitol. <3
To Kristen, Patrick, & Brando- I can’t wait for the wedding day! Thanks so much for putting up with all the walking, and for having fun with me!!
