Tiffany & Josh’s Fairytale Wedding, Madison, WI – Part I

If you live in Wisconsin, there is one thing you can never quite count on: spring weather.  And yet it occasionally gives you a good surprise instead of a nasty one.  Such was the case for Tiffany & Josh’s wedding yesterday here in Madison.  A day that was supposed to hold thunderstorms and rain loomed over our heads all week, and then suddenly turned into quite a lovely day for a personal and beautiful event!  I thoroughly enjoyed working with these two.  They are a perfect match, as was evident not only in their relationship and joy but also in the vows, speeches, and tears that filled the day with happiness.

This was a longer wedding day than my usual, and at first I was a tad nervous- but once I joined the festivities, the energy and excitement flowed all around and suddenly it was time to leave.  Time flies when you’re having fun!  With such a full schedule and lots of time for portraits, I couldn’t narrow down my preview to my normal size….so this is preview 1 of 2.

Enjoy, and keep your eyes peeled for the second half.

I was just a bit sentimental to be shooting their ceremony here at the rooftop sculpture garden of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art because this is where my husband & I said our vows.  Such beautiful views!

Tiffany, her mom, and her sister looked just stunning together.

The day’s schedule included plenty of time for portraits around Madison.  The bride & groom will both be starting residencies in Michigan after their honeymoon, so they really wanted to make the city of Madison a part of their portraits.  I think we added quite the gamut of local destinations to their wedding memories, beginning with the MMoCA itself.

We headed over to Allen Centennial Gardens and captured some beautiful purple blooms to compliment the wedding colors.  In LOVE with this tree!

See?  Not one raindrop here…it was to die for!

We’ll end post #1 with Camp Randall and this shot, inspired by some of my work from Paris that Tiffany liked.

Watch for post #2, featuring the Memorial Union, the Capitol, Monona Terrace, and a perfectly personalized reception!
