Right away, I have to throw this out there before beginning this very fun post: I am no sports fan. Sorry guys! I’m married to a PC gamer who has no interest in any sort of professional athletics, and I sort of adore the fact that I never come home to a loud barrage of announcers, fans, and scores.
Despite my disinterest in sports, I can’t tell you how excited I got when Luna & Ben told me they were tying the knot on the home plate of Miller Park, where the Milwaukee Brewers fill the stands all summer. No, seriously! I was very excited! Not only was this a unique location, but a very meaningful spot to the bride & groom. They are very avid Brewer’s fans and they attend loads of games together.
As soon as Crystal & I arrived at the park, we grabbed the gown for its very special field trip. Luna was great to let us bring it into the stadium area.
The red & white color theme they chose was just perfect.
The groomsmen took some time to hang out in the dugout while they waited for the ceremony to begin. Really… What a cool space to have your pre-wedding guy time!
I just loved grabbing this groom’s portrait of Ben… Reminiscing on their engagement session!
While the guys went off for more fun, Luna & the girls got ready in a suite.
Luna was absolutely radiant!
There’s some very fun architecture in the park, and we were lucky to have some extra time before the ceremony to grab bridal portraits.
Ceremony time! We took a trek through the underworld of the park. There was a very electric, exciting energy in the air as we walked towards the wedding. You could sense the anticipation!
Ben was all ready to see his bride as he took his place on the field.
Luna entered from the dugout with her dad.
The ceremony really was a breathtaking, one of a kind view.
Sometimes the moment right AFTER the kiss is the real kicker… Definitely the case with Luna & Ben. Check out this adorably excited grin they exchanged as they realized they were finally husband & wife! It melted my heart!
We had a little window of time after the ceremony for some great portraits on the field.
The flowers were lovely!
We headed out of the park and downtown Milwaukee for some more portraits and celebration. First stop: Milwaukee Art Museum!
It was such a warm day that a few wedding party members took advantage of the cool fountain.
Everyone thought it was a good idea to stop by Ryan Braun’s for a drink or two!
And then it was time for the celebration back at Miller Park. Fun details made for a beautiful evening!
The famous racing sausages even made an appearance at cocktail hour!
Congratulations to Luna & Ben- Crystal & I had a fantastic time with you guys! Here are a few more vendors from their wedding:
