I’m jumping ahead just a little bit in my blogging here, but it’s for a good cause. This happy couple is Brandon and Zakiya, and they JUST got engaged! I must say, I give Brandon a TON of credit here. When he decided to propose, he knew it had to be something very special for his long-distance girlfriend, Zakiya. The moment he contacted me about shooting the proposal as it happened, I was in! I knew it would be a unique & thrilling opportunity, and I was definitely spot-on.
Brandon’s plans began at the Hyatt in downtown Milwaukee, where Zakiya was dropped off in a limo. She hadn’t been expecting to see him that night, but Brandon concocted a story that his plans had changed at the last minute. Then, the two immediately got into a horse & carriage for a romantic ride…to pass the time before their dinner reservation, Brandon told her.
