How often do I mention that I have the coolest couples? Seriously. I do. No offense to other photographers’ couples…but mine rock. I’ve been so lucky to have been chosen by unique, fun, & creative brides & grooms! Creative, you say? Want to meet one of them? Let me introduce you to Megan & Caleb!
These two lovely lovebirds are tying the knot in October, and I just can’t wait for the details at their wedding…because Megan is creating many of them on her own. My most anticipated piece is her hand-knit VEIL. Yes, that’s right: this ambitious bride is knitting her veil! I’m so excited to see it!
The first time I drove by this orchard, I knew I wanted to shoot in it one day. And so we did. Of all my couples for 2010, I really do think Megan & Caleb were the right ones for this location!
I keep waiting for one of my couples to decide that they’re sick of kissing. It never happens…
Thanks to a week full of gloomy & stormy drizzles, the ground was a teensy bit too wet to sit on in the orchard. But this branch wasn’t!
Caleb was super sweet to indulge me in this little instruction. No injuries, we promise.
I love these shots…but yes, you do feel like your loved one is a cyclops while posing for them.
I made Megan & Caleb play a silent version of Marco-Polo… And I love Caleb’s reaction when Megan found him!
These two are lovable and full of laughter…Megan had a really hard time holding this straight face!
Sssshhhh…. The scene of the crime!
We found a fun little field for a few more wind-blown outdoor shots. I love these…dead…whatever they are!
Fun texture…
I was really tempted to warm this one up and pretend it was all sunny, but it really wasn’t. Beautiful green field!
Gotta practice for that romantic wedding-day shot! Caleb nailed it, no training required.
It was a very comfy, cozy green field.
After retreating from the wind, we met at Megan & Caleb’s brand new home. Congratulations, guys! They moved in just five days before our session, and had already gotten a head-start on their painting. Since the purchase of their home landed smack-dab in the middle of their engagement story, we thought it would be fitting to document this move-in process. With paint, of course! How many times do you have a lovely white wall as a blank canvas? I must say, I LOVED their choice of color…
They plan to leave this up on the wall a while. I think that a print would be a fitting decoration for this room eventually, don’t you?
You’ll see more of these two a few days after the date listed below!
To Megan & Caleb, I had such a lovely time hanging out with the two of you and seeing your new home. Thanks for inviting me in, and double thanks for giving me a giant craving for pasty’s! Ha ha. I was serious about helping with those hand-made wedding projects, too…I just love little crafty sessions! So glad to have you as clients, neighbors, and friends.
